A Caring Practice Begins with Thoughtful Planning
Dr. Hakim Said is a fellowship-trained, board-certified plastic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience. For the last 15 years, he has been transforming lives as a practicing plastic surgeon in Seattle, and more recently as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Washington. He also has the distinct honor of being voted the Seattle Met's Top Doctor for the 9th year in a row.
Dr. Said believes that when it comes to plastic surgery, the procedure itself is a surprisingly small part of the process. The planning and strategy leading up to the procedure and the thoughtful execution of the recovery plan can impact the outcome just as much as what happens in the operating room.
Dr. Said makes sure his patients are prepared before, during, and after their procedures. This is why his patients have some of the lowest rates of complications of any surgeon in the area, and why he commonly receives five-star ratings from his very satisfied patients.
A Global Perspective
Part of Dr. Said’s holistic approach comes from his influences outside of the field of plastic surgery. Dr. Said was raised in Switzerland and is an avid skier to this day. He is also a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and speaks six languages. Dr. Said is also a technophile and enjoys exploring the relationship between the physical and the digital.
These diverse interests all wind up making their way into his practice philosophy. Dr. Said enjoys seeing the whole picture. When working with patients, he makes sure that the procedures being considered produce results that make sense for the patient throughout the spectrum of their lives, not just in terms of aesthetics. Dr. Said believes this results in better procedures and happier patients.

Excellence Rooted in Restoration
Dr. Said’s career has ultimately revolved around the ways he can use the skills and treatments he’s learned to help people on the path to restoration.
Following his surgical training at Northwestern University in Chicago, he completed a fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston specializing in microsurgical reconstruction. During his time in Seattle, many of his patients have needed his care to fix a surgery that had gone wrong or repair their bodies following cancer surgery.
Dr. Said built his practice around reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the breast, face, and body. He delights in being able to guide his patients on their journey to self-actualization. In his leisure time, Dr. Said and his family find journeys of their own, exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
